Common Sonic The Hedgehog Opinions I have:

• I fucking hate Shadow the Hedgehog and I hope SEGA kills him off again
• I fucking hate the Paramount Sonic movies and I hope they go bankrupt
• I can't think of anything else controversial at the moment but I know I have some strong opinions

Most of my Sonic knowledge (and subsequent interest) is in the video games.

My thoughts behind canon is as follows:

original game release > new release > game manual > subplemental material (idw, etc>

If games with multiple POVs contradict each other, I tend to believe that Sonic's POV is the canon version.

If there are two versions (ie, the Wii version of Sonic Colors vs the DS version), I tend to use whichever has more material, and/or whichever is funnier.

Anyway, that's my thought process behind writing fics. To me, ALL of the Sonic games are canon, including Sonic Chronicles. SEGA can change their mind on what game is "canon" at a whim (like when they tried to de-canonize Sonic Rivals?) so I don't care what they say regarding that. If they released that game, it's canon to me. Also, I don't consider IDW Sonic canon to the games- I don't care what they say, I'm a total game purist, and I will not change. Besides, they also tried to convince us that Sonic Prime was somehow also taking place in the game universe, and that's obviously not true. I wish the Sonic Team would just keep their medias separate, lol.

I have some knowledge in other Sonic iterations. I'm very fond of Sonic x! I've watched all of the Sonic cartoons, and I've read a little bit of Archie Comics and the new IDW series. I've been meaning to dive into Sonic the Comic more but we will see! My main love is for the Sonic video game series, however, so that's what I tend to talk about!
